The premise of the story intrigued me, though the unenthusiastic reviews on Goodreads kept me from investing the high Kindle price. Nonetheless, I still wanted to read this, so I picked up a copy at the library. You'll have to count me among those who were disappointed by this one.I think the author had a terrific idea here, but the execution didn't quite click with me. The story is basically boring, and I didn't feel there was enough character development among the major and minor players. Lydia, really Diana transformed, sort of yawns through the story in this modest Eastern US town with cookie-cutter friends. The photographer from her past who happens upon her by accident seems to have the most depth, but overall it's just not an interesting story.
