Review

I'm a bit familiar with the Georgia coastline, and the setting of Sugarberry Island attracted me to the first Cupcake Club book. Honey Pie doesn't focus so much on cupcakes, but rather on a tense romance between a newcomer with "second sight" and a sullen mechanic with a troubled past. Somehow the two are able to step out of their shells to acknowledge their mutual attraction. Some readers might find the romance a bit forced, but I thought the author paced it well. Familiar characters from past Cupcake Club novels drop in to create a sense of home.I would definitely recommend reading the previous books before getting into Honey Pie. If you enjoy mildly sensual romances set in small towns, try the series.
